I guess I let life get in the way of this blog. I’ve been intending to start writing here again for a while. I also have plans to evolve this blog starting with a redesign after I finish up some other projects. Look forward to the return of Reptaro.
I updated the site a little. Firstly I increased the depth of the grey since some of you were having trouble reading the site on your monitors. Secondly I updated the recent CD purchases. The last month or so I’ve been buying Lee Soo Young albums. Even though it’s not my usual thing I’m enjoying the orchestral music and her beautiful voice. I also updated the links to my other sites so that it’s just the sites that I keep updated. Finally and most importantly I moved the blog to a sub-domain so the URL is now dorty.reptaro.net. Please update your links and bookmarks and you’ll also need to resubscribe to the RSS feed.
Okay it’s pretty much done. Done enough that it can go live… except one thing! I have no images to put in it. Well not enough to launch it. I’m home for Easter break and my completed work is still in University. So I can’t photograph/scan it until next week sometime when I go back. Bugger!
I ran into a few problems with my portfolio site. These problems should be ironed out this week. Also I haven’t scanned/photographed enough work for it yet so I’m going to say it’ll be up this weekend.
I added some of my other projects on the right there. You may notice my flickr page is now open to view. I’ll upload some of my better photographs there. Definitely worth a look. I figured flickr would be good for those shots since I can upload them straight from iPhoto. So any good shots I take I can share almost instantly now when I download the pics off my camera. I may also post some photo sets using my photo script (see Mae’s use of the script) since I want to keep flickr for my good stuff. Speaking of Mae she asked for links to navigate single page entries and she’s absolutely right, so I added them.
I return! I had to recode some of the site to work with Wordpress 1.5 but it’s all okay now. I lost my archives but I wanted a fresh start anyway. I’ll probably celebrate that fact with a new layout after I finish my portfolio.
Wordpress 1.5 has some nice new features and really is a complete blogging package. The themes idea is especially nice. You just upload your template to a themes directory and I can select which theme I want people to see.
